Parents,
Somehow weeks have past by without pictures of the students working and/or update on what we have been working on in class. I promise we still have been working and learning!
A couple of updates:
Math - We have moved on to patterns and graphs.
Social Studies - We will be working with maps of Canada, researching more about Canada (flag, food, school day etc.) and creating a Glogster.
Reading - Nonfiction time is here! We will be working with nonfiction text features.
Writing - We will be working with mini-lessons on personal narratives
Words Their Way - We have started our spelling program, "Words Their Way", we are taking a break this week and next but will be back on schedule the week after. On the weeks that we work on "Words Their Way" the students should be bringing home a copy on Monday.
International Week - We are lucky enough to participate in a school wide international week. We will be able to learn all about different countries around the world. We have Canada for our project.
