I hope everyone had a great break! We are back at school and back into our normal routine. Here are a couple of updates and activities coming up:
Charlotte's Web
November 30th - We will be attending a production of Charlotte's Web. Since this is a short field trip we will not need parent volunteers but I am sure the students will come back with many stories to share with you.
Words Their Way
We will be back to our regular schedule for Words Their Way. Look for the words coming home on Monday. They will be tested on Friday on their words.
IIM - Hunger Writing
We will be starting a IIM paper on hunger. The IIM will be a project that we will be working on until the end of the semester.
Progress Reports
The progress reports will be going home in the Thursday folder. Please look over these reports and talk to your child about his or her grades. If you have any questions over any of the grades please let me know. Also, if you have not signed up to login to the grade book through the parent portal please do so. This way you can always be up to date on grades.
Early Release
Our next early release is on December 5th.
Curriculum
Science - Force, Energy and Motion (The students will have extra science homework this week. This homework will need a little help from you. I appreciate your support!)

Reading - Continue working with Non-Fiction text
Being a "Bucket Filler"
We are working on being "bucket fillers"in our classroom instead of "bucket dippers". We are a lively bunch of learners and many of us are very sociable. I will be reminding my students to continue to work on being friendly, respectful and caring to all students in the classroom. Every student should feel safe in our classroom.
